Hello
friends and start-up-oriented individuals! The stepping stone as well
as the inception of many things around a start-up is to believe it
yourself…! If there’s not such a belief, no-one else will make a
difference or a change. Faith, gratitude and self-confidence are vital
character traits for those of us that would like to make a difference.
Did they always exist? No. Are they affected by decision making? That’s
the issue of my today’s post below the mentioned title… For example, if
you’d like to collaborate with a technology, sometimes, you have to
possess the know-how of it. If you’d like to collaborate with a partner,
you have to be proactive, speak the same language and be able to act,
think and set up data fast. If you’d like to network yourself with
others you have to collaborate on their subjects, let them collaborate
on yours, as well as proposing moves forward. For those start-ups that
are affected and absorbed by the digital transformation of the 21st
century, that’s where the economy of knowledge comes into play. The
knowledge economy is not capital intensive or labor intensive but
information intensive based on knowledge. Bridging the gap with
dimensions and groups of people outside your ego is a continuous
challenge. So far, I set up the story. Now I will explain, what actually
happens when this same faith and self-confidence do not exist, why so
and what to do to change minds and succeed.
The network effect is what transforms and completely restricts and centrifuges business education. MBA educated people will need a lot of time, a lot of extra miles and a lot of creative expansions before they believe again in how a management book portrays companies. As people and I say, we never compromised with the idea that our life would be written completely inside the pages of a company book. MBAs and management offer the key management models so that we can come up with marketing plans, business plans, be familiar with jargon, absorb classes fastly like this of Aalto University around Start-Ups (without experience on business scripts, you can simply forget it) and communicate ambitiously on the global economy, setting the foundations for solid experience. But that’s not what having faith in yourself and your business is all about. Sooner or later, models and paths outside your previous sphere of influence will affect you. Especially when they pressure you on the magnitude level. Management is not enough to run a company, write a marketing plan or succeed in a start-up. That’s a canon, end of story! The majority of paths are not laid with rose petals and we can’t assume you’ll always find 10 different open doors simultaneously. Entrepreneurship and personal development are what make the difference.
But plenty of times entrepreneurship is not encountered as it should be and that’s a pool of failure. Why so and how can we override the issue and succeed? Timing, networks and creative power affect our answer…! We are being educated on data in a non-chronological order. We are exposed to dozens of information, such as hundreds of equations for math and physics, dozens of key management models, numerous data alchemy algorithms, plenty of theories around the theoretical background of informatics, without knowing where and how these things are being used. Even though knowledge is power there are a lot of extra miles that should be run before we completely apply something. A lot of people are educated without possessing timelong resumes or advanced titles… Learning is a lifelong process but only for the willing. Many peoples’ education does not constitute the independent building blocks of something greater. What I describe in this last paragraph paraphrasing are the key arguments of how to confront the network effect. Faith and self-confidence in our ideas and creative power rises from getting to know our inner world, who we are absolutely…! Getting to know how we’d like to present ourselves and how we’d like to be known. Flirting the Gods of management has little to do with it. When you come up with this unbeatable instinct that your critical mass has reached a milestone, when you have this unbeatable instinct that you can make it on your own, then you start to think of how to make a positive difference.
Conclusively, entropy is the decrease of the capability of a closed system to keep coming up with changes and upheavals at its forms and its structures. If such a quantity is dynamically maximized then possibly this is a first stepping stone towards success. Even though no matter how much humanity and technology of our species will progress, the answer to the hermeneutics of this size will never be given… Have a great time folks!
